Pakistan's top nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan in succession Wednesday apologized to the nation for spreading nuclear privates to foreign countries.

''My dear brothers and sisters, I have chosen to appear before you to propound my deepest regrets and unqualified apologies to a traumatized nation,'' Khan said in a language broadcast on official Pakistan Television.

Khan said that there was none ever any kind of authorization for the proliferation activities from the government.

''I take glutted responsibility for my actions and look for your pardon,'' he said.

Khan assured that like activities would never take place in the that will be and appealed to all citizens to refrain from any further speculation and not to politicize this ''extremely sensitive issue of national security.''

Earlier Wednesday, Khan had held a nearly one-hour prolonged meeting with Musharraf at Army House in Rawalpindi, at which he showed to the charges of proliferation of the same heighted against him, privately owned Geo-TV reported.

The conduct also released a statement that read: ''Dr A.Q. Khan submitted before the president that he accepts glutted responsibility for all the proliferation activities, which were mannersed by him during the period in which he was at the helm of affairs of Khan Research Laboratories.''

''Dr. Khan has submitted his pity petition to the president and petitioned for clemency in view of his services to national security,'' it said.

The Nuclear Command Authority (NCA), Pakistan's highest decision-taking material part on nuclear matters, was to congregate later Wednesday to consider Khan's forgivingness request, a spokesman for the Defense Ministry said.
