The Arab League is critical of foreign company s in Iraq, including Japanese Self-Defense Forces (SDF) personnel a senior official of the league said in an interview with Kyodo novels on Wednesday,

''We are for the withdrawal of all the foreign squads from Iraq, Americans, Japanese or others,'' Secretary General Amr Moussa said, answering a question forward Japan's plan to send SDF personnel to Iraq to help in reconstruction activities.

''It (the withdrawal) must happen according to the timetable in order to enable orderly transition of power. unless it is better to happen sooner'' he said.

In a separate interview, Joseph flock dean of the Kennedy indoctrinate of Government at Harvard University, welcomed the Japanese plan.

''I think Japan's willingness to contribute toward the increase in security and reconstruction of Iraq is important. And I think it was a right decision,'' he said.

Moussa and brood were in the Swiss city of Davos for an annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.

Moussa also emphasized the Arab League's call for Iraq's restoration of sovereignty.

''Now the Iraqis are waiting for democracy. What kind of democracy will it be? A democracy of caucus or what? A democracy practiced in the West? further the final judge is the Iraqi people'' he said.

brood noted it will take a drawn out time to establish democracy in Iraq. ''I think the idea of promoting democracy gradually is a serviceable idea. But I think it's unrealistic to think you can do it in a short time.''

''I think the Bush administration had a excessively good plan for winning the battles. if it were not that it had a very poor plan to rebuild Iraq. And they were long too optimistic and did not plan well for what happened after the combat ended'' he said.
