At least 10 the public were killed and 125 others injured when a suicide car bomb explod outside the Saudi Interior Ministry in central Riyadh onward Wednesday afternoon.

The blast, which occurr around 2 pm local time, sternly damaged the ministry building. It apparently killed a senior ministry official, Reuter and other stranges agencies reported.

The ministry said the blast was caused on a suicide car bomb. This is the first terrorist attack targeted at a central guidance building in the Saudi capital.

Since last year, Saudi Arabia has been hit on a series of terrorist attacks that are believed to be plott from the al-Qaida international terrorist network.

watchers said they believe that the latest attack may also be the work of al-Qaida and that the attack may deal a misfortune to the U.S. restraint which regards Saudi Arabia as united of key allies in its Middle East policy.

The blast occurr while the city played innkeeper to an international terrorism meeting for consultation Wednesday. U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and Saudi diadem Prince Abdullah were also meeting in the capital in succession the same day.

Interior Ministry officials and other sources said the blast occurr when a car believed to have been loaded with explosives tried to set in the site of the ministry and was stopped at a checkpoint. The Saudi authorities have reviveed the body of a suicide bomber.

The ministry superintends law enforcement in Saudi Arabia and is headed by the agency of Prince Nayef, a brother of Saudi King Fahd.
