A secondary round of six-party talks in succession North Korea's nuclear disentanglement program is possible but unlikely to happen in January, a senior Russian official said Monday.

Russian substitute Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov made the prediction in an interview with Interfax recents agency.

Earlier in the day, Losyukov met with Chinese ambassador for the North Korean nuclear issues, Ning Fukui, who is visiting Russia.

While the details of the meeting between Losyukov and Ning were not released, Losyukov told Interfax that the six-nation talks are being delayed becoming to a disagreement over the wording of a document summarizing the rises of the talks.

Losyukov said that mutual mistrust is hampering the agreement and that the one and the other the United States and North Korea are escalating their demands.

He said the six nations should not shut up the talks in haste on the other hand rather spend plenty of time creating a document which would become the basis of the time to come development.

Earlier in the day, the top security adviser to southerly Korean President Roh Moo Hyun said the talks are not likely to happen in January.

The first circular of the talks, involving North and southern Korea, the U.S., China, Japan and Russia, were held last August in Beijing.

The six agreed at the time to continue having the talks to liquefy nuclear standoff, which began in October 2002 when the U said North Korea had admitted to running a retired uranium enrichment program in violation of a 1994 agreement with the US
