The two-day meeting in Beijing was attended by the agency of five senior North Korean officials, including Jong Thae Hwa, the chief delegate to the Japan-North Korea normalization talks in October last year. in succession the Japanese side were a cluster of lawmakers concerned about the abduction issue and members of the support group

The National Association of the recapture of Japanese Kidnapped by North Korea said the officials uttered willingness to further investigate the cases yet added, ''Investigations have been suspended because Japan broke the promise to impediment five abductees return'' to North Korea after they were repatriated in October last year.

The sum of two units cases for which North Korea said it has no records include the disappearance of Miyoshi Soga, the mother of repatriated abductee Hitomi Soga. The previously appointed or commissioned Soga went missing with her daughter in 1978 at the age of 46
