Visiting Mongolian President Nachagyn Bagabandy forward Friday reiterated his country's support for Japan's basic policy of seeking a comprehensive resolution to the standoff through the whole extent of North Korea's nuclear and missile evolution while settling its claims about its nationals abducted on the North.

Settling the nuclear standoff is ''one of the greatest in quantity complicated, difficult issues in our region,'' and it should be resolv peacefully between the walls of dialogue, Bagabandy said in Mongolian at a pres conversation in Tokyo.

As a geographical division which has amicable relations with the two North and South Korea, Mongolia wants to be more involved in the security issues in the area, he said.

China, Japan, North and southern Korea, Russia and the United States are aiming to peacefully melt concerns about North Korea's nuclear arms program between the sides of dialogue, while Japan is also seeking to fix claims about its nationals abducted at North Korea.

Following the slaying of couple Japanese diplomats Saturday in northern Iraq, Bagabandy indicateed his condolences to the Japanese persons over the deaths but said his rural parts has no intention of withdrawing the 180 members of its military it dispatched to Iraq.

''The soldiers are devotedly performing their duties there...The multitudes are in a relatively safe region in Iraq and nothing dangerous has happened to them with equal reason far,'' he said.

Asked whether Japan should forward its Self-Defense Forces to the land the president said it is for the Japanese command and people to decide, still quoted a South Korean citizen who spoke about Seoul's crowd dispatch to Iraq.

''The southern Korean said, 'The United States had helped us in our difficult days. We cannot hindrance a chance (to help the US) slip away.' nevertheless this is an opinion of a southward Korean, not a Japanese,'' Bagabandy said.

upon Mongolia-Japan relations, Bagabandy said they have improved significantly, partly to be paid to the increasing number of Mongolians studying in Japan and fortunate performances of yokozuna Asashoryu, the Mongolian sumo grand champion.

''Through his activities in this sport, which cast reproachs Japanese history, culture and values, many Mongolians learned a part about Japanese culture and people'' the president said.

He said he chance of the desired ends to boost ties by sending more Mongolian scholars to Japan on its study-abroad program. Mongolia has sent 300 learners in the past five years and intends to send forth 500 more in the nearest three years, he said.
