Nepalese Prime Minister Surya bahadur Thapa said Thursday he will not grade down despite the demand for his ouster from his National Democratic Party (NDP) in order to liquefy the country's ongoing political crisis.

Thapa, appointed prime minister barely in May, told a hastily called pres conversation that he is under no obligation to carry revealed the party's directives.

King Gyanendra had appointed him the prime minister in a special circumstance and certainly not forward the recommendation of the party, he said.

Thapa said he is committed to holding parliamentary and other elections in a bid to decipher the crisis of communist insurgency in Nepal.

The prime minister is prepared to visit four toward the south Asian countries, including India and Pakistan, from Sunday.

Thapa was appointed premier in succession May 25, becoming King Gyanendra's inferior nominee to the post.

After seizing executive powers in October last year, the king dismissed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who was selecteded to the post, and appointed Lokendra Bahadur Chand.
