A civilian cargo plane was hit by the agency of a surface-to-air missile near Baghdad upon Saturday, but managed to land safely, while car bomb explod at couple police stations, killing at least 20 folks including one suicide bomber, according to media reports.

The aircraft, an Airbus A300 cargo plane operated by the agency of freight company DHL, landed safely at Baghdad International Airport at about 9 a.m. after declaring an ''in-flight emergency'' U military spokesman Lt Col Byron James was quot as saying by means of the BBC.

Around the same time, a police station at Khan Bani Saad just north of Baghdad was hit at a car bomb, reports said. CNN reported that six Iraqi policemen, three civilians and the suicide bomber were killed in that incident, and 10 others were injured.

Khan Bani Saad's police chief Ismail Kano al-Askari told the BBC ''A Chevrolet car came actual fast at the station. Police exhibited fire but it didn't stop.''

the couple attacks took place in the so-called ''Sunni triangle'' area, a hotbed of loyalists of former President Saddam Hussein.
