China and North Korea agreed in principle upon Thursday to resume six-nation talks forward resolving the North Korean nuclear standoff, China Central Television reported.

Top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo and North Korean leader Kim Jong Il reached the agreement in talks in Pyongyang, the report said.

The television report also said that during the talks Kim accepted an invitation to visit China.

The North's official Korean Central just discovereds Agency said North Korea press outed its willingness to take part in futurity six-party talks if they ''provide a proces of putting into practice the proposal for a package solution based onward the principle of simultaneous actions.''

The Chinese side underscored the ne to simultaneously clear up the interests of both sides in the nuclear standoff -- the United States and North Korea -- without fail, it said.

In talks earlier in the day with North Korean Prime Minister Pak Pong Ju Wu head of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congres said Beijing would ''ceaselessly'' help the North cause to grow its economy and explore modern means of economic cooperation between the sum of two units countries, China's official Xinhua just discovereds Agency reported.

Wu said China would assist North Korea in ''building its acknowledge country,'' according to Xinhua.

Pak agreed that the sum of two units countries should build on their political ties to exhibit Sino-North Korean economic relations, the report said.

Wu who is ranked inferior in the Chinese Communist Party's hierarchy after President Hu Jintao, is forward the second day of a four-day goodwill visit to North Korea.

He is accompanied by way of seven other Chinese officials, including Vice exchange Minister Yu Guangzhou, People's Liberation Army delegate chief of staff Ge Zhenfeng and Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan.

North Korea has met one time with the United States -- earlier this year in Beijing in a meeting armed forceed by China -- and again in August in the Chinese capital in the six-party format that included toward the south Korea, Russia and Japan.

The August talks, however, failed to risk a date or venue for a secondary meeting.
