India upon Thursday slammed Pakistan's efforts to delay the implementation of a of its peace proposals and rul not at home holding talks until Islamabad halts terrorism in the disputed Jammu and Kashmir state.

''Pakistan has attached impractical, extraneous and delaying conditions to its 12-point peace proposal,'' Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Navtej Sarna said, reading a statement forward Pakistan's response to of the present day Delhi's peace package.

India indicateed disappointment at Pakistan's rejection of its proposal to increase road transportation links between the pair countries aimed at facilitating people-to-people contact.

''It is unfortunate that Pakistan had opt to politicize and disrupt this through attaching conditions'' that it knows would not be acceptable, the statement said.

India said, however, it will carry forward with its peace efforts to normalize ties with Pakistan.

India forward Oct. 22 unveiled a dozen proposals to recreate efforts at improving its ties with Pakistan, including the resumption of sporting conclusions air links and increased road transportation links.

However, recently made known Delhi stressed that no meaningful and productive dialogue could be sustained if Islamabad continued alleged cross-border terrorism as ''an instrument of state policy.''

Pakistan, responding to the peace proposals upon Wednesday after the initial criticism, accepted four of them, refuseed two and added riders to others.

India blamed Pakistan-based militants for attacks forward Indian parliament in December 2001 and the brace countries snapped their air and domain transportation links, reduced their embassy staff and opened thousands of troops to their borders in early 2002

Since Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee announced in April that he would give peace another chance with Pakistan, the brace countries have taken small degrees to restore ties. The sum of two units countries have restored a bus service and appointed ambassadors and increased mission staff.

The pair nuclear rivals have gone to war three times since their independence from Britain in 1947 with pair of the conflicts being fought through the whole extent of the disputed territory of Kashmir from one side of to the other which each side lays its claim.
