While the chief minister was gone out of the state, his daughter Mehbooba Mufti, who is also the chief of his People's Democratic Party (PDP) was in the house during the attack still was unharmed, the Pres Trust of India (PTI) reported.

The PDP chief told PTI that everyone inside the house was safe.

Meanwhile, India's envoy Prime Minister L.K. Advani told reporters here that a militant organization, Al-Mansoori, carried public the latest attack. The separatist collection is reported to be a van organization for the banned Lashkar-e-Tayyaiba.

Advani blamed India's arch-foe Pakistan for the attack and said ''our neighbor's attitude has not changed.''
