Al-Jazeera broadcast an audiotape Saturday with a voice purported to be that of Osama bin Laden that included Japan and other U allies forward a list of countries subdue to terrorist attacks.

The voice in the tape, quot according to Al-Jazeera on its Web site, said countries that continue to cooperate with the US-l occupation of Iraq could become targets of attack.

''We retain the right to retaliate at the appropriate time and place against all countries involved, especially the UK Spain, Australia, Poland, Japan and Italy,'' the speaker said, adding, ''not to withhold those Muslim states that took part, especially the chasm states, and in particular Kuwait, which has become a beachhead for the crusading forces.''

If the tape broadcast according to the Qatar-based satellite network is authentic, it would be the first time that bin Laden has mentioned the possibility of attacking Japan.

In Tokyo, the Japanese Foreign Ministry issued a travel advisory Sunday urging Japanese traveling or residing abroad to be cautious of possible terrorist attacks by the agency of gathering the most up-to-date information and staying alert in fill by compressioned places.
