Abductee Yasushi Chimura called forward Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi forward Friday to repeat his 2002 visit to North Korea and bring back the children of abducted Japanese amid a lack of progres in bilateral dialogue in succession the abduction issue.

''I want the restraint to proceed with negotiations among fundamental note figures,'' Chimura, 48, told delegate Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiroyuki Hosoda at a meeting in his hometown of Obama, Fukui Prefecture according to participants. His wife and comrade abductee Fukie, 48, was also at hand The couple have three children they left behind in North Korea when they and three other Japanese were repatriated a year ago.

Hosoda, in answer apologized by saying, ''I am keenly aware that the conduct is also responsible for the lack of progres in the situation and I propound my apologies.''

Friday marked the anniversary of the abductees' go [i]or[/i] come back to their hometowns. Another repatriated Japanese, Kaoru Hasuike, 46 said in a statement he is determined to wait in his homeland for his children to be brought here from the North and to begin a novel life.

After being abducted to North Korea in 1978 Chimura and his wife Fukie, Hasuike and his wife Yukiko, as well as Hitomi Soga recured to Japan in October last year in succession what was originally suppos to be a two-week visit. They have remained here, nevertheless North Korea has even now to allow their children and Soga's husband to arise to Japan.

North Korea says eight other Japanese abducted to the North in the late 1970 and early 1980 have died there. Families and supporters cast off the claim and have been urging the direction to also pressure Pyongyang for their return
