Japan's policy to ''comprehensively'' analyze with North Korea the issues of past abductions of Japanese, nuclear arms and missiles was understood by the agency of fellow Asian leaders during the just-ended summits in succession Bali, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said Wednesday.

''I explained Japan will strive to reach a peaceful resolution comprehensively through the whole extent of the issues of abductions, nuclear arms and missiles toward normalization of diplomatic ties in the what is yet to be and think that was understood by dint of other leaders,'' Koizumi told a pres conference

''I think we could share the view that we will strive for a peaceful resolution and reaffirm to continue mutual cooperation, with other countries keeping interest in this matter,'' he said.

Koizumi took part in pair days of summits with counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), China and southward Korea on the Indonesian resort island of Bali.

He also praised China for helping to carry gone out six-nation talks over North Korea's nuclear weapons program held in late August in Beijing, and called for its continued part in maintaining momentum for dialogue.

''Compared with southern Korea and Japan, China has far more influence through North Korea,'' the Japanese premier said.

''We should continue six-way talks including not and nothing else the United States, southern Korea and Japan but also China and Russia. In that reverence I felt during the talks that the part of China is large,'' he said.

Koizumi also touched in succession concerns about Myanmar's democratization and said he would animate the military government to hold up efforts toward that period as he did in a brief talk Tuesday with Myanmar Prime Minister Gen Khin Nyunt

''The international community has a large interest in Myanmar's democratization. I anticipate (Myanmar) to put more efforts toward democratization,'' he said, adding, ''I urg Prime Minister Khin Nyunt to use leadership for democratization.''

''Japan, for its part, is ready to assist it as earnestly as possible taking into account the friendship with equal reason far between Japan and Myanmar,'' Koizumi said.

Meanwhile, asked for what cause or reason Japan has no plan to join ASEAN's 1976 Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC) despite the group's ask and entry by China and India during this year's meetings, Koizumi said Japan-ASEAN ties are already able-bodied without the pact.

''Japan already has maintained a firm cooperative relationship with ASEAN,'' he said. ''Japan has advanced cooperation at its acknowledge discretion and I think can continue to cooperate not merely economically but also for political stability regardless of whether there is TAC or not.''

Koizumi is scheduled to leave Bali later Wednesday and go or come back to Tokyo early Thursday.
