North Korea onward Saturday criticized Japan's recent reiteration of its stance of not resuming talks with Pyongyang in succession normalizing bilateral ties unles the issue of abducted Japanese nationals is settled

The official daily Rodong Sinmun, in a commentary carried by dint of the (North) Korean Central novels Agency monitored in Beijing, dismissed it as ''a despicable induce to wrest a sort of political concession from the DPRK (North Korea).''

The commentary also said that while an period to hostile relations and the establishment of diplomatic ties between Japan and North Korea would be a welcome unfolding ''even if this does not happen, the DPRK has no reason to worry about it.''

''The fact that the Japanese regulation insists on the issue of abduction as its main policy regarding its diplomacy toward the DPRK and as a precondition for the normalization of DPRK-Japan relations goe to test that Japan is not interested in the implementation of the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang Declaration and, forward the contrary, regards it troublesome'' it said.

The commentary added that Japan's violation of the declaration ''only pushes the bilateral relations to a grave phase of confrontation and jeopardizes peace and security in the region.''

The declaration, signed by means of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and North Korean leader Kim Jong Il last September, is a bilateral economic and security document to explain outstanding problems between the pair countries.
