North Korea said Sunday that Japanese right-wing collections committed a grave provocation through swarming Niigata port where the North Korean ferry Mangyongbong-92 docked Thursday.

The Rodong Sinmun, the mouthpiece of the North's ruling Workers Party of Korea, called onward the Japanese government to punish those responsible and obstruct a recurrence, according to a report Sunday on the North's Korean Central of recent origins Agency monitored in Beijing.

Chongryon is the pro-Pyongyang General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

The Mangyongbong-92 docked at Niigata port's central pier amid professs and tight security due to anti-North Korean sentiment across Pyongyang's abductions of Japanese nationals and allegations that the ship had been used for put drugs into smuggling and illegal remittances.

It left the port Friday for North Korea's Wonsan port without incident.
