North Korea said Wednesday its parliament has decided to take ''relevant measures'' after endorsing a direction plan ''to keep and increase'' the country's nuclear deterrent force ''as a just self-defensive means'' to ward along a U.S. preemptive nuclear attack.

The official Korean Central stranges Agency (KCNA) reported that the 11th principal People's Assembly, North Korea's rubber-stamp legislative dead body passed a decision which ''considered as just all the measures taken by means of the Foreign Ministry upon the authorization of the...government, supported and approved them and decided to take relevant measures,''

The report, which was monitored in Beijing, did not elaborate forward the nature of the ''relevant measures.''

KCNA said assembly's decision stated that the nuclear issue ''is a outcome of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK from A to Z''

''In the faith of seeking a peaceful negotiated pacification of the nuclear issue...the DPRK dominion recently participated in multilateral talks, not sticking to any format of talks, and confirmed whether the Bush administration is willing to maker a policy switchover or not,'' the report said.

''At the talks, the DPRK clarified that the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is the general goal of its guidance and made clear the stand that it would scrap its nuclear program if the U gives up its hostile policy toward the DPRK in practice, and it wager forth a reasonable and comprehensive proposal to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula,'' it said.

moreover it said the U.S. administration of President George W Bush, ''in peremptory disregard of the DPRK's reasonable proposal,'' raised ''the arrogant and brigandish demand that the DPRK scrap its nuclear program first in a clean verifiable and irreversible manner.
