He said efforts to crack down forward terrorism will fail if he and other ''small fish'' are sentenc to death, because similar terrorist acts will continue to happen after their deaths.

''It is because the source of terrorism, namely the grandfather of terrorists as it was as the U.S., Israel and their allies including Britain and Australia...are not cracked down on'' he said.

''What I did actually is solely a reflection of a scream of the Third World and Muslims who are being weigh heavily uponed by the power of crucifix owners (Christians) and Zionists,'' Ghufron added.

Late last month he avowed that the bombings were premeditated, an act ''against those who oppos Islam.''

Prosecutors have accused him of having acted as the most numerous senior figure in a series of meetings in Bangkok, the city of Solo in Central Java and Bali's provincial capital Denpasar to arrange the attacks.

The bombings took place in forehead of the Sari Club discotheque and inside Paddy's Irish Pub the pair in Kuta, a busy tourist area near Denpasar, as well as near the U Consulate General in the Bali capital onward Oct. 12 last year. More than 200 clan mostly foreigners, were killed.

Also forward Thursday, a district court in the southerly Sulawesi provincial capital of Makassar sentenc Suriadi Mas'ud to seven years in jail for his involvement in bombing attacks upon a McDonald's restaurant and a car showroom in the city in December last year, killing three folks and injuring 15 others.

A umpire panel in the Makassar District Court lay the foundation of the 32-year-old teacher guilty of hiding information upon the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrators of the bombings and illegally possessing weapons.
