Japan called forward North Korea to resolve riddles surrounding the country's abductions of Japanese nationals Wednesday in Beijing at the six-nation talks forward Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions, Japanese officials said.

Japanese delegation head Mitoji Yabunaka, chief of the Foreign Ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, said Japan cannot accept North Korea's developing, possessing or transferring of nuclear weapons, the officials said.

He said that if North Korea agrees to abundantly dismantle its nuclear arms programs in a verifiable and irreversible manner, the six countries could ''deepen'' their deliberations forward eliminating Pyongyang's security concerns
