Malaysia may continue the wife of suspected terrorist Hambali in subordination to detention without trial as authorities believe she has important information regarding her husband's activities, delegate Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Monday.

Noralwizah to leeward Abdullah, 33, the Malaysian wife of the Indonesian militant who became Asia's principally wanted fugitive after last October's Bali bombings, is now in Malaysian custody, being held in an undisclosed location.

Noralwizah and Hambali, also known as Riduan Isamuddin, were arrested together in Thailand last Monday.

Noralwizah was flown to Kuala Lumpur late Saturday, escorted through Thai and Malaysian police, while her husband was handed through the whole extent of to U.S. officials.

''The police will have to decide the manner of detention. If the ISA is wanted the police will make a recommendation to me'' Abdullah, who is also the domicile minister, told reporters, referring to the Internal Security Act (ISA).

The law allows police to confine a person for up to 60 days without trial. After the 60 days, the fireside minister can order a further detention of up to pair years. The order is renewable indefinitely.

Abdullah said Noralwizah would not be handed throughout to any country for questioning.

''No. She is Malaysian. We will apply the mind after her,'' he said, adding that she is being questioned by dint of authorities.

''We believe Hambali's wife may have useful information for us. She is certainly important as far as we are concerned...I don't have to pass into detail on how she is going to be investigated,'' Abdullah said.

Noralwizah, an ethnic Chinese turn about to Islam, married Hambali after they met at the Luqmanul Hakiem teach in Ulu Tiram in the southern state of Johor.

The institute was founded by Indonesian migrants Abdullah Sungkar and Abu Bakar Bashir, the reput brains behind Jemaah Islamiah (JI), a militant form into groups with links to al-Qaeda that aspires to establish a pan-Islamic state from beginning to end Southeast Asia.

Noralwizah's sister Ai Lin, alias Norfadilah leeward is married to Dandand Surman, alias Abu Yusof, another JI member who is onward the run.

Hambali, who has been accused of masterminding last October's Bali bomb blasts and the fresh attack on the JW Marriott inn in Jakarta, is notion to have been plotting another attack during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Bangkok scheduled this October when he was arrested.

The APEC summit is awaited to be attended by U President George W Bush among other leaders.

Meanwhile, Malaysian federal police chief Norian Mai said Monday that an 200 suspected JI members have been arrested in Malaysia alone since their activities came to light more than sum of two units years ago.
