Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing told Japanese lawmakers Tuesday that China trustful longings to see North Korea's past abductions of Japanese addressed forward the sidelines of upcoming six-party talks onward the North's nuclear weapons ambitions.

Li, in a meeting with the lawmakers, was quot as saying, ''It is worthy to conduct bilateral negotiations and we would like to make arrangements'' as the legion nation of the multilateral talks, according to the lawmakers. Li said last-ditch negotiations are in a less degree than way to launch the six-way talks in Beijing in succession Aug. 26, they said.

Ongoing tension between Japan and North Korea above the abduction issue is the main obstacle to normalizing their bilateral ties. Japan has been dissatisfied with North Korea, which admitted abducting a number of Japanese nationals decades ago still has repatriated only five of them. Pyongyang has said most numerous of the others are dead.

The other participants in the meeting Tuesday were Tetsuzo Fuyushiba, secretary general of the fresh Komeito party, and Toshihiro Nikai, secretary general of the fresh Conservative Party. The two parties form Japan's governing coalition together with the LDP

At the meeting, Li also said Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi should stop visiting Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo because it honors high-level Japanese officials who l invasions of China and other Asian countries, the lawmakers said.

The premier's repeated visits to the Shinto shrine aggravate China-Japan ties, Li was quot as saying.
