Pakistani President Gen Pervez Musharraf in succession Tuesday suggested a cease-fire along the Line of dominion government separating the disputed Kashmir region into Indian and Pakistani surface bounded by parallel circles s is possible if there is reciprocity from India.

Speaking to reporters after meeting a cluster of visiting Indian parliamentarians, Musharraf said unilateral degrees taken by Pakistan would not be feasible and practical for peace, on the contrary if India reciprocated then a cease-fire inside Kashmir is possible.

''One could attempt to facilitate or encourage the cease-fire, also inside Kashmir, if there is reciprocity from the Indian side on stopping atrocities, reducing number levels and releasing the political prisoners,'' he said.

The make notes marks the first time that Pakistan has indicated it could bring about an extreme point to unrest inside India-administered Kashmir.

India and Pakistan have fought brace of their three wars through Kashmir since their independence from Britain in 1947 and came choke to another in June last year.

India accuses Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism in its northernmost Jammu and Kashmir state, an allegation denied from Pakistan, which says it is lending solely moral and diplomatic support to the separatists.

Muslim militants have been demanding a separate Muslim Kashmir state or its alignment with Islamic Pakistan.
