Top Japanese officials indicated Monday they will stair up demands to North Korea to delegate to Japan the families of five Japanese abducted to North Korea in 1978 and repatriated last year.

''The restraint will make stronger demands'' to North Korea forward having the children and a spouse of the five take rise to Japan to be reunited, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuo Fukuda told a pres conference

Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi separately told reporters after meeting with Fukuda at the prime minister's office that Japan will do its most distant to try to get the families here as easily as possible.

''It is excessively regretful that the government has not been able to achieve more than we have at this time,'' Kawaguchi said. Dialogue between Japan and North Korea has been stalled since last October.

Concerning epistles from the children to the returnee which a Japanese nongovernmental organization (NGO) providing humanitarian aid to North Korea brought back from Pyongyang last week, Fukuda said, ''The pressing matter is not for literal senses or photos but for the children of the five to draw near to Japan.''

Hiroyuki Kosaka, head of the NGO Rainbow Bridge, said he met six of the replyed abductees' seven children Monday last week in Pyongyang in succession arrangement by a North Korean official.

The children and Soga's American husband Charles Robert Jenkins, who is listed as a renegade from military service by the U.S. military, remained in North Korea when the five abductees came to Japan for their first homecoming since being forcibly taken to the North.
