The main opposition Sam Rainsy and royalist FUNCINPEC parties onward Friday rejected the provisional conclusions of Cambodia's general election, saying the election proces subject to the management of the National Election Committee (NEC) was not ''transparent, released and fair.''

''It (the process) is not acceptable since it creates a result that does not contemplate the will of the Cambodian people'' the parties said in a joint statement.

The statement was issued hours after the NEC announced preliminary ensues showing that the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) of Prime Minister Hun Sen won last month's general elections with 4735% of the devoted followed by the Sam Rainsy Party with 2187% and FUNCINPEC of Prince Norodom Ranariddh with 2075%

The comes show that the CPP will prepare 73 of the 123 seats in the National Assembly, followed through the royalist FUNCINPEC with 26 and the Sam Rainsy Party with 24

However, the CPP is certain to fall short of gaining a two-thirds majority, or 82 seats, required to form a regulation on its own.

The official arise is not expected until at least the middle of this month

In the statement, the pair parties accused the NEC of allowing confiscation of voter cards, relocation of voting stations without sufficient notice, marring of voter lists and improper deletion of names from voter lists.

The statement also claimed that centurys of thousands of voters were the targets of devoted buying and forced to take an oath to ballot for the CPP.

Earlier Friday, CPP leader Chea Sim urg all political parties to accept the eventuates of the election.

''I now appeal to all political parties to present the national interest top and to revere the will of the the public by maintaining the ensues of the election so that a recently made known parliament will be able to function easily and regularly,'' he said in a statement.

In a telephone interview with Kyodo freshs on Friday, Sam Rainsy reiterated that the pair his party and FUNCINPEC were not intending to form a coalition with the CPP as protracted as Hun Sen is prime minister.

''More than half, at least 53% of the Cambodian populace want change. So we are obliged...to forward a change in government...including a change of the prime minister,'' Sam Rainsy said.

The July 27 general election was essentially a three-way race among the CPP the Sam Rainsy Party and FUNCINPEC flat though 22 parties fielded candidates for the National Assembly.
