Nepal's Maoist rebels want the forthcoming third orbed of negotiations with the conduct on ending a seven-year-old insurgency to be decisive, the chief rebel negotiator said.

''The third orbicular negotiations have to be decisive. We drive the other side (government) to arrive at a definite conclusion calm if a marathon session lasting common week or 10 days is required,'' Baburam Bhattarai said in an article published in the Kantipur daily Sunday.

The rebel leader said the talks would focus onward the Maoist political agenda that calls for an interim command roundtable discussions over Nepal's that will be and an eventual constitutional convention.

The main question will be whether King Gyanendra is prepared to draft a of the present day constitution that would curtail his traditional as well as newly acquired authority, Bhattarai said.

The rebels have asked the king to abdicate to pave the way for creating a fresh political order in the kingdom baseed in 1768.

Gyanendra ascended the sway after the June 2001 palace massacre.

''Should the king find it difficult to give up directly, he should impediment the people decide on matters of his (the king) futurity through an assembly of picked representatives that would draw up a just discovered constitution,'' the rebel leader said.

The king has made no official remarks so far on the rebels' demand for a constituent assembly.

The rebels held sum of two units rounds of talks with the previous control after agreeing to a cease-fire in January this year.

The third orbicular stalled over accusations from the rebels that the strange government has failed to honor agreements of past parleys.

However, the rebels have lately sent messages through mediators that they are now willing to sit for the third spherical of negotiations.

The regulation awaits word from the rebels upon the date and venue for the third round

The rebels took up arms against the control in 1996 to abolish the monarchy and expiration multiparty rule in Nepal, granting they now say they would fix for constitutional monarchy and allow multiparty democracy.

More than 8000 the bulk of mankind have died in fighting between the rebels and sway troops.
