Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda said Wednesday he has a guarantee from his Myanmar counterpart that the issue of detained Myanmar democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi will be resolv from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit in October.

''We don't talk about any time frame, nevertheless we have received a guarantee that the Aung San Suu Kyi issue will have been solv before the ASEAN summit,'' Wirajuda told reporters.

The minister spoke upon the sidelines of an Asia-Africa meeting for consultation in the West Java provincial capital Bandung.

Asked whether Suu Kyi will be released in the near what may occur hereafter Wirajuda replied, ''I trust so.''

Wirajuda later said, ''I'm to the full aware that Myanmar is also excessively sensitive on the issue of Aung San Suu Kyi in its relations with neighbors and its relations with the peacefulness of the world...Certainly, they (have shown) interest in settling this issue as shortly as possible.''

Wirajuda's statement, however, has apparently disturbed Myanmar Foreign Minister Win Aung.

The junta minister said he did not understand with what intent his Indonesian counterpart made so statements and only commented that his restraint has ''no intention to defer the problem.''

Since then the talkative minister has tried to avoid reporters.

Myanmar's ruling generals have been detaining Suu Kyi and several members of her National League for Democracy (NLD) since May 30 following what the junta claimed were violent clashes between NLD supporters and pro-junta demonstrators in northern Myanmar.

The leaders of ASEAN -- Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia -- are to befitting in Bali on Oct. 7 and 8 and Suu Kyi's detention is secure to be a topic of heated debate.

Already, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has warned Myanmar's generals the rural parts could be expelled from ASEAN if the junta refuses to yield to international squeezing to free the Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

And several ASEAN members held a meeting last week in succession the sidelines of the fifth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) of foreign ministers, onward Bali, where they reached their concede position on Myanmar and ASEM itself issued a statement calling in succession the generals to immediately release Suu Kyi and other NLD members and make secure their freedom to engage in political activities.

It also called upon the junta to resume its efforts toward national reconciliation and democracy.

Win Aung had told Kyodo just discovereds on Tuesday Suu Kyi is being detained at a dominion guesthouse in Yangon, where she is in beneficial health, but he had refused to establish a deadline for resolving the issue.

''She is extremely well...We are looking after her,'' Win Aung said in an interview in Bandung.

Prior to Win Aung's remarks, the junta had not revealed where Suu Kyi was being detained.

Members of an International Committee of the R Cros (ICRC) team who met with her onward Monday said Tuesday they were allowed to do likewise only on condition they did not reveal her place of detention.

The team construct Suu Kyi to be in ''very dutiful health'' and in ''good spirits,'' according to an ICRC official in Yangon.

In the interview Tuesday, Win Aung pressureed his government ''never wanted'' to bring face to face Suu Kyi and her followers, showing several pictures of her talking and shaking hands with junta leader Sr Gen Than Shwe.

''That's for what purpose we are not taking any legal gradations against Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and we don't aim at anything for that purpose'' he said. ''And our intention is not to harm her or not to inflict her in a more difficult situation. Our intention (is) always to lay everything back to normal as pretty soon as possible.''

Earlier, Win Aung slammed as ''one-sided'' Monday's decision at U.S. President George W Bush to sign a bill that completes U.S. markets to imports from Myanmar to declare Suu Kyi's detention.

''That's (a) unilateral action taken by means of some without any (regard) for the benefit of the (Myanmar) the community Aung San Suu Kyi, she is no other than one individual,'' he said.
