Peace talks between the Philippine control and communist rebels will renew later this month in Oslo the rule said Thursday.

The sway said in a statement that Jose de Venecia, speaker of the House of Representatives, flew to Amsterdam late last month to converse with rebel representatives based there and they agreed the talks will renew in Oslo during the last week of this month

De Venecia's office also issued a statement saying the sum of two units sides agreed to keep possession of talks in Oslo and accept Norway's part both as the innkeeper and active facilitator to deposit an end to nearly four decades of violence.

''We are pleased with the part of Norway, and we are aware of its initial succes in arbitrating talks between the direction of Sri Lanka and Tamil Tiger rebels,'' said de Venecia, who met Jose Ma. Sison, Luis Jalandoni and Fidel Agcaoili.

The three are members of the National Democratic van (NDF) panel that officially personates the communist guerrillas in the on-and-off negotiations to cessation the decades-long communist insurgency in the country

Talks with the communist rebels bogg down in June 2001 following the assassination of pair politicians by gunmen identified with the rebels.

Silverstre Bello, chair of the conduct panel in the talks, said the agreement to take again the talks was mutually agreed concerning by both sides.

Bello said that about contentious issues need to be resolv before they could go on foot back to the negotiating table, without elaborating.

De Venecia said the NDF panel take offence ats the assertion by the United States and the European Union that the communist rebels are terrorists. De Venecia assured their counterparts that the label would be remov if the sum of two units sides reach a final peace agreement.
