A Singaporean member of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), a Southeast Asian Islamic extremist form into groups has disclosed to Singapore authorities that the cluster targeted five foreign embassies in Bangkok for terrorist attacks, the Singapore conduct said Tuesday.

Singapore arrested dozens of Singaporean members of the JI in a short time after the Sept. 11 2001 terrorist attacks forward the United States and disclosed that they were planning to knock up the U.S., Israeli and other Western embassies in Singapore, as well as U commercial interests and military installations.

Singapore has continued to be onward high alert for terrorist attacks since then.
