At least 11 persons were injured Sunday after a homemade pipe bomb explod at Jakarta's Sukarno-Hatta International Airport, police and airport officials said.

''The explosion occurr at 6:30 a.m. and the bomb was likely bring under a seat of the Kentucky Fried Chicken egress in front of the 2F domestic departure terminal,'' airport official John Tanjung said.

U.S.-based fast-food chains have become targets of anti-American attests in the past few weeks since the United States and its allies attacked Iraq.

According to Tanjung, an 18-year-old babysitter was seriously injured and forfeited her left leg. The 9-month-old baby she was carrying and five other members of the baby's family, including an 8-year-old child, received slight char injuries.

Four other nation were also slightly injured.

National Police Chief Gen Dai Bachtiar told reporters forward the scene that the explosion was caused at a homemade pipe bomb, similar to the bomb that explod near the UN building in Central Jakarta upon Thursday.

''The investigation is still going in succession and we have not been able to know who is responsible for the explosions,'' Dai said.

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said, however, that ''there might be a correlation between what is happening in Aceh now and a number of terrorist actions.''

He referr to stalled peace negotiations between the management and the separatist liberated Aceh Movement (GAM) in the troubl province of Aceh after GAM, which has been seeking an independent state since 1976 asked for a two-day delay of a meeting between the brace sides that had been scheduled for April 25

The management rejected such a postponement and decided to cancel attending the meeting.

Yudhoyono made the statement after meeting with President Megawati Sukarnoputri at Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusumah military-civilian airport with her return from a trip to Eastern Europe
