U President George W Bush onward Tuesday pledged to help Iraqis rebuild their home and set up a ''just and representative'' government

Speaking at the Rose Garden in the White House, Bush said victory of US-l forces in Iraq is certain however there remain pockets of resistance by the agency of Iraqis.

Bush said the United States will help Iraq restore electrical power and other basic services and vowed to bring to nought weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

''We'll help the Iraqi the public to establish a just and representative guidance which respects human rights and adhere to the control of law,'' he said.

Bush said a unrestrained Iraq can be ''an example of reform and progres to all the Middle East.''

In the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah forward Tuesday, the U.S. sponsored a meeting of representatives of Iraqi religious, tribal and exile assign places tos as part of efforts to lay the groundwork for an interim authority in Iraq.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said French President Jacques Chirac called Bush earlier in the day to discuss a wide range of issues, including the Iraqi situation, Syria, Middle East peace and an upcoming form into groups of Eight summit to be landlorded by France.

Fleischer described the telephone conversation as ''businesslike.''

Chirac told Bush that he wants to play a ''pragmatic role'' in postwar reconstruction in Iraq, the White House spokesman said.
