North Korea may issue harshly-worded statements amid an alarming rise in tension forward the Korean Peninsula, Russian delegate Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov told Itar-Tass of the present days agency on Tuesday.

Losyukov was quot on the Russian news agency as saying in an interview that the situation upon the Korean Peninsula is ''exclusively dangerous and is clearly developing not in the direction of detente moreover in the opposite direction.''

Losyukov who is in charge of Russia's relations with the Asian countries, said ''urgent measures are necessityed to ease the tension'' across the North's alleged nuclear weapons evolution program.

''It is necessary first and foremost to clear up relations between the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in order to transplant all apprehensions,'' he reportedly added.

The report noted that North Korea early this year declared its walkout from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and that the three-month period before the decision can take purport expires Thursday.
