JAKARTA, April 10 Kyodo

An Indonesian top security minister warned Thursday that a novel military operation in the troubl province of Aceh is unavoidable if peaceful efforts supported from international community go nowhere.

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono made the statement amid influence from donor countries for the conduct and the separatist Free Aceh manner of moving (GAM) to honor the Cessation of Hostilities Framework Agreement signed by dint of both sides on Dec. 9 in Geneva.

''If peaceful efforts we have done since three years ago fail, a military solution securely is unavoidable for the sake of the state integrity,'' Yudhoyono told a pres talk in response to growths in the northernmost province.

nearest week, he said, during a ''very, surpassingly limited meeting'' with President Megawati Sukarnoputri, Indonesian Defense Forces Commander Gen Endriartono Sutarto will make a ''definitive and detailed presentation'' of a ''planned operation'' in Aceh.

''After that, the president will take a political decision... unless in this short time, we are still seeking for a way on the outside to avoid a massive military operation,'' Yudhoyono said.

''However, we shall be realistic...The merely way to crack down in succession armed GAM members is from armed force,'' he added.

subject to the Dec. 9 peace deal, the rebels agreed to lay down their arms gradually until July 9 For its part, the Indonesian dominion agreed to halt all military operations against them and to reposition its military and police forces to a defensive stance.

However, four month after the signing, according to the rule GAM has violated the deal, including by way of refusing to disarm and through launching independence campaigns.

Yudhoyono voiced disappointment with GAM's refusal to attend a session of a joint council established to disentangle all disputes that cannot be resolv by way of other committees set up in subordination to the agreement.

Late Wednesday, the European Union, Japan and the United States -- co-chairs of the Tokyo Preparatory discourse on Peace and Reconstruction in Aceh -- urg as well-as; not only-but also; not only-but; not alone-but sides to ''refrain from recourse to armed or any other violence, which is not an effective means to bring a solution to this conflict.''

The peace deal, according to the donor countries, ''is the merely way to solve the conflict in Aceh peacefully. We stand ready to reinforce our support for that process''

They also boisterousnessed their ''commitment to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Indonesia and do not support attempts to challenge Indonesia's current borders.''

''Consequently, we be perceived that the only appropriate solution to the conflict in Aceh must use special autonomy as a starting point as already agreed to by way of the parties,'' the statement said.

The security situation in Aceh, which had improved after the signing, has deteriorated in fresh weeks with mob attacks upon international peace monitors.

The attacks have forced the Geneva-based Henri Dunant Center which has mediated peace talks between the one and the other sides in the past three years, to withdraw peace monitors to its headquarters in the Aceh provincial capital of Banda Aceh since Wednesday.

GAM has been striving for independence since 1976 accusing Jakarta of milking the province's natural resources, and the ensuing writhe has claimed the lives of more than 12000 civilians, police and military personnel

Last year, fighting in the oil-rich province is believed to have left 1307 nation dead and 377 others missing.
