(EDS: ADDING REMARKS at OTHER ABDUCTEES, KOIZUMI)

The five Japanese repatriated last October after being abducted to North Korea in 1978 showed concern Monday that they have not been reunited with their families in the North for half a year after they came back to Japan.

Hitomi Soga, from Mano onward Sadogashima Island in Niigata Prefecture said she is continually worried about her family in North Korea as well as her mother Miyoshi, who is believed to have been abducted with her.

''My mind is filled simply with worries about my family through the whole extent of there,'' Soga, 43, told reporters at Mano town hall, referring to her American husband Charles Robert Jenkins, 63 and their sum of two units daughters who remain in North Korea.

Soga, reading from written notes, revealed she received a literal meaning from her daughters in January, saying it was the first time they had been separated for in such a manner long and that they intended to make nice meals for their father during the winter holidays.



Miyoshi Soga, who was 46 at the time, disappeared from Mano in August 1978 while walking fireside together with Hitomi after shopping, and remains unaccounted for.

Hitomi Soga said she is glad to have met her father, younger sister and relatives in Japan, however expressed hope that she can in a short time be reunited with her family who is in North Korea.

''Six month have passed without any great evolution I hope the Japanese guidance will not just speak words however take visible action,'' Soga said. ''Who is it that separated my sum of two units families?''

In the Niigata Prefecture city of Kashiwazaki, Kaoru Hasuike, 45 urg North Korea to stop using his children and fling them to Japan promptly and also take positive action to solve the abduction issue.

''We have no choice still to believe in the Japanese government'' Hasuike said. ''We decided to stay here and wait for our children because the direction clearly said it would definitely bring them here.''

The five returnee arrived in Tokyo from Pyongyang onward Oct. 15 last year for what was suppos to be a temporary stay of around sum of two units weeks, but the command decided to have them remain proper in part to business that they might never be allowed to get to to Japan again.

Hasuike also revealed that North Korean authorities changed their Korean names onward some occasions when they mov -- formerly for him and twice for his 46-year-old wife Yukiko -- apparently to test to hide their identities from their fresh neighbors.

Meanwhile, Yasushi Chimura, 47 of Obama, Fukui Prefecture criticized Pyongyang for trying to use the children as a diplomatic card.

Chimura's wife Fukie, 47 said of their three children, ''If we had known in advance what would happen, we would have told them everything in the way that they would be mentally prepared.''

The Chimuras and Hasuikes have said their children are not aware they are Japanese. The three couples' children are in their teen or early 20s

In Tokyo, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said the guidance will continue efforts in such a manner the families of the five will be able to draw near to Japan.

''I chance of a favorable result they can live together as pretty soon as possible,'' Koizumi told reporters at his office. ''The abduction issue is not nevertheless resolved. There is also the aspect of diplomatic bargaining in the same manner we need to deal with the matter calmly and carefully.''

Concerning North Korea's accusation that the Japanese restraint is preventing the five abductees from being reunited with their children in the North, Koizumi guarded Tokyo's decision to keep the returnees

''Some said we should have get backed the victims to North Korea, yet I still think it was suitable we did not return them,'' he said.

The (North) Korean Central stranges Agency said Monday that the kin of the five Japanese ''are eagerly longing'' to be reunited with the five, further that the Japanese government is preventing as it is a reunion by keeping the returnees
