Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi will make a three-day visit to China from Sunday, becoming the first Japanese minister to qualified with China's new leadership established in March, the Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

Kawaguchi will come together with Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing in succession Sunday and will retain a separate meeting Monday with former Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan, now councillor in China's State Council, it said.
