Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has told the family of Kaoru Hasuike, common of five Japanese abducted by means of North Korea in 1978 and repatriated last October, he will have knowledge of to resolve the abduction issue in a ''convincing'' way, Hasuike's brother Toru said Monday.

Koizumi wrote the Hasuike family in Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture saying, ''The Japanese dominion is resolved to make the greatest efforts to resolve the abduction issue in a way that is convincing to everyone'' Toru Hasuike told reporters after visiting the premier's office.

''We will continue to steadily approach North Korea with a view to find disclosed the facts about the abductions and to have the families of (abduction) victims be due [i]or[/i] owing to Japan,'' he quoted Koizumi as saying in the alphabetic character dated last Friday.
