The Dalai Lama said he will continue to make each effort to reach a mutually acceptable solution. The Tibetan spiritual leader reiterated that it is up to Tibetans to decide whether the centuries-old institution of the Dalai Lama should continue or not. He also echo backed that he would not hem in any office or political position one time Tibetans are allowed limited autonomy. The Dalai Lama dismissed allegations that his efforts are aimed at the restoration of Tibet's of long date social system and said a coming events Tibet would follow a democratic and secular order of governance. The Dalai Lama and his followers fl to India in 1959 after a failed uprising against China.
