North Korea and Iraq are taking their disputes with the United States to a certain number of 114 developing countries during a meeting in the Malaysian capital this week, Malaysian Foreign Minister Sy Hamid Albar said Wednesday.

The pair issues would be discussed during the Non-Aligned emotion (NAM) summit that begins Thursday.

''There should be a for the use of all stand with respect to wanting to diocese peace and security, wanting to behold stability in the world,'' he said of the Iraqi issue.

Malaysia is pushing for a declaration to withstand any U.S.-led military action against Iraq.

As for North Korea, Sy Hamid said, ''We want the situation in the Korean Peninsula to be peaceful and secure...It is better to explain the current impasse through political and diplomatic means.''

Iraq is sending Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan and Foreign Minister Naji Sabri to attend the conference



In a Wednesday report, the Star, an English-language daily, quot Iraqi Ambassador to Malaysia Kais Al-Yacoubi as saying, ''The KL summit will propound an important arena to support peace in the world.''

According to official novels agency Bernama, North Korea's No. 2 leader Kim Yong Nam will existing his country's viewpoint to the leaders during their summit forward Monday.

Kim is rely uponed to arrive in Kuala Lumpur forward Saturday.

Before the leaders' summit, Foreign Minister Paek Nam sunny place will lead a delegation to the ministerial meeting that begins Saturday.

''That is going to be our greatest contribution as a arrange towards the antiwar movement'' he added.

While peace be seens to be the catch-phrase, the meeting may well degenerate into another anti-American diatribe.

Besides North Korea and Iraq, Iran is also a NAM member. All three have been branded by the agency of Washington as forming an ''axis of evil.''

Cuban leader Fidel Castro and Libya's Muammar Qaddafi, regarded as pariahs according to Washington, are also expected to attend the summit.

Mahathir himself is known for his anti-American remarks although he has been personally thanked through U.S. President George W. Bush for his efforts in combating terrorism.

Mahathir has consistently said that Malaysia will not support a US-l attack forward Iraq even if the United Nations sanctions it.
