U President George W Bush upon Friday turned up pressure in succession the U.N. Security Council to take action against Iraq, saying the council has to ''make its decision soon''

''The UN Security Council has got to make up its mind shortly as to whether or not its words mean anything,'' Bush told reporters.

In November, the UN material substance unanimously adopted resolution 1441 to give a ''final opportunity'' for Iraq to abandon weapons of mass destruction, or face ''serious consequences''

At Wednesday's session of the UN Security Council, U Secretary of State Colin Powell instanted audio tapes and satellite photos as evidence that Iraq is involved in exhibition of weapons of mass destruction. a certain number of council members are calling for giving more time to UN inspectors.

''This is a defining force for the U.N. Security Council. If the Security Council were to allow a dictator to lie and deceive, the Security Council will be weakened,'' Bush said, adding the resolution 1441 must be upheld ''in the fullest''

Earlier in the day, Bush called Chinese President Jiang Zemin and French President Jacques Chirac.

''President Bush violenceed that time was of the essential part in dealing with Iraq, and he inclemencyed that the credibility of the United Nations was at stake,'' White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said.

Bush reiterated he will welcome a recently made known U.N. Security Council resolution to reinforce disarmament demands to Iraq.

''It would be helpful to have a resolution in like manner long as it demands compliance with 1441 confirms the spirit of 1441'' he said.

Fleischer said the Bush administration will be ''engaged in diplomacy toward the point of working together with the UN Security Council to be derived out with a resolution that is serious, effective and acceptable.''
