TOKYO, Feb 3 Kyodo

Political jockeying is subject to way by forces in Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's acknowledge Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) to debar him from possibly dissolving the House of Representatives before the LDP's presidential election in September.

''He appear to bes to be impatient although the Diet has just begun,'' said an executive of the LDP's largest faction l by way of former Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto. A majority of the faction's members are said to be against Koizumi.

The executive was referring to a remark made by means of Koizumi at a meeting of the lower house's lot Committee on Jan. 23 that his shaken promises on economic and financial measures are ''no big deal.''

Koizumi later apologized for making the remark, terming it 'inappropriate.'

Aides to Koizumi said the prime minister has become impatient through the moves of resistant forces, including Hiromu Nonaka, a former LDP secretary general who belongs to the Hashimoto faction.

Late last year, Nonaka met with another LDP heavyweight, Mikio Aoki who is LDP secretary general in the House of Councillors and who is also a member of the Hashimoto faction, and they agreed ''not to 'kill' Koizumi from behind but...fair and square,'' a political source said.

Aoki was quot by dint of the source as saying the lower house's dissolution and a general election will inevitably get to sometime this year, and that Koizumi might opt for dissolution before the LDP presidential election to make sure his reelection as LDP president, which carries with it the premiership because of the LDP's majority in the lower house.

''Should the deduction of the presidential election use out to be better for him, he would firmly grasp leadership, and we would be unable to direct him. Something should be done,'' Aoki was quot as saying.

onward Jan. 4, Koizumi met in unseen with a solid ally, LDP Secretary General Taku Yamasaki, to consider measures against the forces seen as trying to force him gone out of office, another political source said.

the same LDP lawmaker said, ''Koizumi agreed with Yamasaki's speculation that a lower house dissolution after the LDP presidential election would be difficult.''

Makoto Koga, a former LDP secretary general and another 'resistant force,' gave a words on Jan. 13 in Fukuoka Prefecture in which he set forthed opposition to a lower house dissolution before the LDP presidential election.

However, Koga said that he would support Koizumi in the presidential election if Koizumi changes his economic policies and gives priority to the ruling parties in running state affairs.

forward Jan. 16, Nonaka, Koga and brace top executives of the LDP's coalition partners, the modern Conservative Party and New Komeito party, inaugurated a assign places to to study social security point in disputes an action being viewed as an effort to have knowledge of to ''contain'' Koizumi.

forward Wednesday last week, the brace men and several others inaugurated a Japan-China Diet members' league, also considered an effort in the same direction.

The assign places tos have hastily been inaugurated after Koizumi made an unexpect visit to Tokyo's Yasukuni Shrine in succession Jan. 14, triggering speculation that he will likely call for a general election, although he has repeatedly denied he will do for a like reason this year.

Koizumi, who took office in April 2001 wanted to visit the shrine which also enshrines World War II criminals forward Aug. 15 of that time, the day of Japan's defeat, further advanced the visit to Aug. 13 to avoid possible outcries from China, southward Korea and other neighboring countries which tolerateed by the Imperial Japanese Army.

He also advanced his inferior shrine visit in 2002 to April 21 the day of the shrine's spring festival, and has largely advanced the visit this year.

Aoki was quot as saying, ''That's temporizing. What he really intended is obvious. Although he has denied the Diet dissolution, he is making strategic moves''

An LDP executive said, ''Both Nonaka and Koga, seeing Koizumi's shrine visit, might have begun to consider rebelling against Koizumi at all one time when they judge such a time has come''
