Indonesian police upon Monday declared nine people detained the previous day as suspects in a bomb explosion at a house in the suburb of Jakarta, accusing them of violating the country's antiterrorism law.

Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Makbul Padmanegara told a pres conversation that the nine suspects -- eight men and undivided woman -- are among 13 married couplings questioned by police after the homemade bomb went most distant at the house located in Depok town near Jakarta onward Sunday.

Television footage showed women wearing Muslim black veils and carrying babies during the police questioning.
