The U military will take part in Taiwan's annual military exercise, marking the first time for it to do to such a degree since it severed diplomatic ties with Taipei and withdrew its military neighborhood from the island sum of two units decades ago, a mass-circulation newspaper reported Thursday.

Officers from the U military will be stationed at a command center located in a suburban area of Taipei during the ''Han-Kuang No. 19'' military drills, the China Times defense reporter quot an inside source as saying.
