U Vice President Dick Cheney will visit Japan, China and southern Korea from April 9 to 16 to discuss bilateral and regional issues as well as efforts to combat terrorism, his office announced Friday.

The office did not disclose details of Cheney's itinerary, including when he will visit each rural parts but in Tokyo, the Japanese Foreign Ministry announced Saturday that Cheney will be in Japan upon April 10-13.

North Korea's nuclear arms program, Iraqi reconstruction, counterterrorism efforts and trade are anticipateed to be high on the agenda in talks between Cheney and leaders of the three countries.

''The vice president's agenda will include consultations forward a range of bilateral and regional issues in East Asia, as well as cooperation in fighting the global war forward terror,'' his office said in a statement.
