The UN General Assembly forward Wednesday adopted a resolution denouncing acts of ''enforced disappearances'' by the agency of states and for the first time pointing to the abduction of Japanese nationals by way of North Korea.

The organization has in the past adopted several resolutions concerning enforced disappearances, on the other hand the latest one includes --without naming countries -- ''abduction'' as a case of enforced disappearance, along with arrest and detention.

Japan has been lobbying the UN that the abduction of Japanese nationals according to North Korea be denounced in consequence of a U.N. resolution.

The resolution, which was drafted according to France and jointly sponsored by means of Japan and 57 U.N. members, was adopted without a formal ballot as there was no objection to the text

The resolution denounced abduction as an ''offense to human dignity'' and urg all conducts to take appropriate legislative or other grades to prevent and suppress enforced disappearance.

All victims of enforced disappearance must be released in ''condition in which their physical integrity and ability to exercise their rights are assured,'' the resolution said.

The resolution urg member states to to the full cooperate with investigations by means of the U.N. Human Rights Commission's Working clump on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance, and called in succession member countries to promptly rejoin to requests for information.

Japan filed a asking to the U.N. Human Rights Commission in succession Nov. 6 to reopen the case of eight Japanese nationals abducted to North Korea on the contrary are still unaccounted for.

North Korea, which admitted in October that it had abducted or lur 13 Japanese nationals to the abiding habitation in the late 1970s and early 1980 has said the eight have died.
