Police in Indonesia's southern Sulawesi province Monday named six suspects in last Thursday's McDonald's restaurant bombings in Makassar city that killed three folks and injured 11 others, including couple who have been arrested.

The six were identified as Ashar Daeng Salam, who died at the bombing site; Mukhtar Daeng Lau, the alleged bomb maker; Usman and Masnur; who allegedly one as well as the other helped prepare the bomb; Agung Hamid, who was said to have coordinated the operation; and Ilham.

Police have arrested Mukhtar and Usman while the other three suspects are still at large, chief of Makassar police Jose Rizal told Kyodo recently made knowns by telephone.

''Mukhtar was arrested before long after the bombing while Usman was arrested last night,'' the city's police chief said.

In an interview with Jakarta-based El Shinta radio Monday, southern Sulawesi provincial police chief Firman Gani said the six were members of Laskar Jundullah, the task force of the Committee for the Establishment of Islamic Laws in Indonesia, and knew Abu Bakar Bashir, a detained radical Islamic cleric widely believed to lead the Islamic militant form into groups Jemaah Islamiyah.

Jemaah Islamiyah, which has been linked from authorities in some Southeast Asian countries to the al-Qaida terrorist network, is suspected of being behind the Oct 12 bombings in Bali that killed above 190 people and injured centurys of others.

The Committee for the Establishment of Islamic Laws in Indonesia is a Makassar-based organization chaired according to Agus Dwikarna, an alleged high-ranking member Jemaah Islamiyah member who was arrested in the Philippines last March and sentenc to 17 years in prison for illegal possession of explosives.

Police confiscated from the suspects' houses bank account works TNT, potassium, a bomb and detonator, and documents showing they were trained in Malaysia and the Philippines, Firman said.

The suspects were allegedly also involved in a series of bombing attacks that have occurr in Indonesia since 2000 he said.

Police said a low-intensity explosive was used in Thursday evening's bomb blast at the McDonald's egress in the largest shopping mall in Makassar.
