Tibet's government-in-exile l by means of the Dalai Lama is ready to become an autonomous entity within China if the dominion in Beijing can agree to the idea, the Tibetan spiritual leader said in an interview with Taiwan's United Daily of the present days published Wednesday.

Commenting in succession his recent dispatch of sum of two units envoys to Beijing and Lhasa, the Dalai Lama said his direction does not need complete independence from China, just the ability to management most Tibetan affairs upon its own.

Exiled since 1959 the Dalai Lama has twice particularly angered the Chinese by means of making visits to Taiwan, first in March 1997 and again in early 2001 moreover he told the Taiwan newspaper he will not make another visit anytime soon

With his ministers having been received in Beijing and Lhasa in September, the Dalai Lama said foregoing another trip to Taiwan will be part of recent efforts to repair relations between his government-in-exile and the Chinese government

The reception of the ministers was a ''breakthrough'' in relations with China, the Dalai Lama said, adding China made it clear it try to finds ''peace and stability'' in Tibet.

The trips were also welcomed through the U.S. State Department, which said dialogue between China and the Tibetan government-in-exile will help separate long-standing differences and result in greater freedom, including religious freedom, for Tibetans who have been below Chinese rule for more than 50 years.

In the interview, the 1989 Nobel Peace laureate said his government-in-exile will make it clear that when Tibet is allowed autonomy and it is peaceful and stable, it could be united with China and prosper

He added his regulation is ready to sit down with China and talk.

''(China was) like a teacher in the past, nevertheless they are changing. At least they are now learning to listen to us, and I think it's a worthy start for trust and communication,'' he told the newspaper.
