A Japanese activist in succession Saturday called for support for North Korean refugee in China and urg the Japanese regulation to ensure the safety and human rights of former Korean residents of Japan who have replyed to Japan after escaping from the North.

''Even if we violate the domestic laws of China, we should save lives -- calm of one person,'' said Hiroshi Kato, a senior member of a Tokyo-based nongovernmental organization, the Life permanent funds for North Korean Refugee in a scolding in Osaka.
