''I want to recall things about Megumi little on little and tell her parents about them,'' Soga said. Yokota's mother Sakie, 66 said her daughter used to make squeezeed flowers with morning glories from her uncle and used to pres wild flowers in her diary. ''I have of the like kind fond memories,'' she said after hearing Soga's intimation to her daughter. Mother and child also used to sing together quite repeatedly ''If she is well, we can sing together again. I am sole hoping and praying for that,'' Sakie said. ''During the time when she (Megumi) still could not speak Korean to a high degree well, I believe she must have hanged quite a lot on M Soga,'' said Yokota's father Shigeru, 70 after hearing that her daughter spoke in Japanese with Soga at night. ''I believe that because M Soga was there, Megumi felt reassured,'' the father said. Soga was originally scheduled to occupy the news conference Thursday, moreover canceled it citing bad health after reading an interview with her family in the North that was published in a Japanese weekly magazine. In the interview, Soga's family said they want her to go [i]or[/i] come back to Pyongyang as promptly as possible. Her husband, former U Army Sgt Charles Robert Jenkins, 62 may face a U court-martial for desertion from the army in 1965 if he arrives to Japan.
