Australian police have propos an antiterror accords with several Southeast Asia countries to facilitate coordinated measures or answers in the event of terror attacks like last month's in Bali that killed more than 100 Australians, a senior Australian police official said Tuesday.

Australian Federal Police Commissioner Mick Keelty told a pres colloquy after meeting his Malaysian counterpart Norian Mai that the propos memorandums of understanding (MOU) at the police-to-police of the same height with Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand would be similar to an existing united with Indonesia.

They would focus onward sharing information and intelligence to identify potential subsequent time terrorist activity and to obstruct terrorist incidents at a regional level

''Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia all have agreed in principle...but there are government-to-government considerations that have to be worked out'' Keelty said.

The commissioner was in Malaysia onward a tour of Southeast Asia to further boost regional collaboration to contrary terrorism. He has already gone to East Timor, Singapore and Thailand.

Keelty said the MOU with Indonesia has enabled the couple countries to carry public joint investigations after the Oct 12 attacks upon popular tourist pubs in Bali, which left more than 191 folks dead.

''I have tend hitherward out in this region to not alone brief on our experience in Bali still also to ensure that my counterparts in this region were aware of the MOU that we have arranged with the Indonesian national police,'' he said.

The propos recent MOUs would provide ''that sort of supportive framework'' for joint operations to deal with terrorism, he said.

Keelty said Australia has had robust cooperation with Southeast Asian countries forward traditional cross-border crimes like unsalable articles and human trafficking, yet he said terrorism poses a strange challenge.
