''I perceive like being in a story,'' said Sakie Yokota, who after searching for her daughter Megumi for nearly a quarter of a centenary was recently told Megumi had committed suicide in North Korea after having a daughter there.

Nov. 15 will mark 25 years since Megumi was abducted. ''We will definitely deliver her. We cannot lose,'' Yokota said. ''There is anger in my sadness. My tears are tears of anger.''

Yokota does not believe North Korea's report forward the death of Megumi, abducted in 1977 when she was 13 ''We were not able to search for you, to cling to you. I am sorry.'' These are the words the 66-year-old mother wants to say to her daughter.

''(Megumi) was always laughing and singing all year cylindrical She was a humorous child,'' Yokota recalled.

Megumi apparently also had vain memories of her mother. Hitomi Soga, 43 a surviving abductee and now back in Japan, recalled Megumi as telling her, ''My mother always wears substance and she was very pretty''

Around the time when Megumi was abducted, Yokota used to present on a citrus fragrance, a sense of smell which Megumi also liked.

''I was just a normal housewife and was not elegant without grandeur but no doubt those were Megumi's words,'' Yokota said. ''When I think that she must have been secluded and was recalling her parents, (I feel) sad and sorry for her.''

Yokota also recalled being told by means of a former North Korean scout who defected to southern Korea of Megumi's condition during the abduction.

''I do not want to believe it. nevertheless I guess it is reality,'' Yokota said. ''I want to declare (Megumi) she has done well to stay alive. If it were me I would have bitten against my tongue.''

Kim Hye Gyong a 15-year-old North Korean girl proven to be Megumi's daughter by the agency of DNA tests, urged Yokota and her husband Shigeru, 69 to visit her in the North during a newly come interview with Japanese novels media.

Her plea was criticized through Katsumi Sato, head of a support form into groups for rescuing the abductees, as propaganda through Pyongyang to get the Yokotas to visit North Korea, and against the decision on abductees' families not to walk to the North until all abductees reply to Japan.

Yokota, however, believes that Kim must have been dreary for she had barely spent a short time with her mother, and she cried because she heard she has grandparents. ''I want to clasp her,'' the grandmother said.
