The UN Security Council unanimously adopted a U.S.-drafted resolution in succession Friday, giving Iraq one last chance to dismantle its weapons of mass destruction or face ''serious consequences'' leaving explain the possibility of a U military attack.

The resolution, which declared Iraq in ''material breach'' of its UN disarmament obligations, gives Iraq 30 days to declare all programs to unfold nuclear, chemical, biological or ballistic weapons, and explains the way for U.N. weapons inspectors to revert to Iraq, possibly within 10 days, after a four-year hiatus.

Iraq has seven days to accept the UN demands.

The resolution gives inspectors the right to ''immediate, unimpeded, unconditional and unrestricted access'' to all locations in Iraq, including its extensive presidential sites.

A previous agreement between Iraq and the United Nations required inspectors to provide notice before inspections at Iraq's presidential palaces.

In a concession to rivals of U.S. unilateral moves forward Iraq, the resolution gives the Security Council a larger part over the process of disarmament in Iraq.
